Conjunto Alegre is a Puerto Rican band, dedicated
to promoting Salsa/Jibara and music from the Caribbean, in general for the enjoyment of our diverse community. Conjunto Alegre
plays Salsa, traditional Puerto Rican music, (Jibaro), Merengues, Plenas, Bombas, and other world rhythms. Conjunto Alegre
was formed by
LeRoy Rodrigues, in 1979. The band has members that
come from various parts of the world. Our members are from Hawaii, Puerto Rico, San Francisco, and New Jersey.
Conjunto
Alegre is having great success with their debut CD "Cuando Me Toque Partir". Radio stations and DJs from around the globe
are spinning the contageous "Salsa Con Cuatro" tipico sound that has been welcomed by all dancers, musicians, Latin Music
aficiodados, and Latin Music collectors. We have received e-mails from Italy, Japan, U.K. France, Canada, Mexico, Argentina,
Chile, and from all across the USA sharing their enthusiasm and how much they enjoy the unique "tipico sound."
Conjunto Alegre is proud to announce as of May 6, 2006
